On Wednesday, October 25, at 7:00 p.m., our membership meeting will feature a program presenting Joe Dunn’s new book, Indian: The Life of Osage Waterman Wayne Schafer.
The book tells of Schafer’s life and chronicles his early years as well as his professional life. It also details the early days of the California surf culture and quotes various waterman as well as individuals from Schafer’s childhood.
The program takes place at City Hall in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor. Following the program, Dunn and Schafer will be available to autograph the book, which will be for sale at a reception in our museum.
